Recently, Google announced that it was going to change the name of Google My Business (GMB) to Google Business Profile, which allows you to manage your online presence across the entirety of Google’s platform. You are able to access and edit all of the information that appears in your listing.
In the official announcement, Matt Madrigal, VP/GM Merchant Shopping, said “Moving forward, we recommend small businesses manage their profiles directly on Search or Maps. To keep things simple, ‘Google My Business’ is being renamed ‘Google Business Profile.’”
“And in 2022, we’ll retire the Google My Business app so more merchants can take advantage of the upgraded experience on Search and Maps,” he added.
What does this entail for the future of business owners, brands and marketers who utilize GMB on a regular basis?
In this post, Sherry Bonelli will show us how to get the most from your Google Business Profile.
