Do you remember when virtual reality was still in its infancy and you could really only play around with it at places like the mall and the such?
Virtual reality has come a long way since then, and it’s improved dramatically. Now you can have these small headsets that don’t always be attached to a source (like a computer as an example) to work.
Did you know hat VR is on its way to becoming the next interactive platform, as well as an important element in how we conduct day to day activities?
Because of the pandemic that’s been going around over the last year, VR has seen a significant spike in sales. Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 VR device sales has doubled in the second half of the year.
This means that there will be more focus on that device, allowing much more content for VR. In turn, VR engagement will be more of a focus, allowing for a range of new and different apps and processes, and not just on games.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Oculus, Facebook has published a new overview of the history of its Oculus Rift headset.
