DuckDuckGo Is The Default Search Engine In New Adblock Browser

duckduckgo-1920-800x450It was announced today that the privacy search engine DuckDuckGo announced it is the default search engine in Adblock Browser for both iOS and Android devices.

Not only is DuckDuckGo the default for the Adblock Browser, the company is saying that they’re working with the Electronic Frontiier Foundation (EFF) on a new “Do Not Track” standard.  They are have even agreed to sign the “Acceptable Ads Manifessto”, which is an effort to promote non-intrusive ads, right along with Reddit, Stack Exchange and Adblock Plus.

Although ad-blocking has been out now for a while on Android phones, but the issue right now is with the release of Apple’s iOS 9 and the new content-blocking capabilities that this newest version of the OS has which makes it easier o block cookies, images, resources and pop-ups on mobile devices.
