Google, has officially confirmed that passage ranking, which was announced last October as passage indexing, is finally rolling out passage ranking to the US English search results. Google has plans to globally roll out passage ranking at some point.
Google expects that it will have a 7% impact in search queries.
February 10, 2021 was when the rollout first began.
