In an announcement made on August 17, Microsoft made organic product listings available in the Bing Shopping tab. The company said, “we’re excited to announce the availability of free Product Listings, which allow you to show your product offers for free on the Bing Shopping Tab starting in the USA and soon rolling out to other markets.”
These markets include:
- The United Kingdom
- Canada
- Australia
- France
- Germany
From the Microsoft Shopping Campaign customer end, there is no action that they need to take in order to take part. Every product that is approved to be apart of the Microsoft Merchant Center is opted-into free product listings. Retailers won’t have to pay for the clicks coming from the Product Listings section of the Shopping tab.
If you aren’t a customer, here is what you have to do:
- Create a Microsoft Merchant Center store
- Submit any eligible products
- Make sure that each product has been approved
Once these steps have been taken, you’ll be automatically be opted-in to the free Product Listings. This means that the eligible products will be shown in the free product listings section of the Bing Shopping Tab.
